A very smart bird indeed. London weather odd too – not getting any benefit from the south Europe record heatwave so a pretty dull and cool August. First migrant Willow Warblers passing through and should see Flycatchers any day…
Thanks Tony, hope you’re doing OK over there. Been a long 18 or so months since we last met………..
Terek Sandpiper – common here, too and one of my favourites, too.
They would win the 100 meters sprint in the sandpiper Olympics too.
Just want to let you know that I enjoy your posts and excellent photography. I’ve been following these since before you moved from your old site. When-and-if I can tick a visit to Japan off my ‘bucket list’, I’d certainly like to see some of these Hokkaido birds and places. Many thanks for all you do.
Hi Jon, thanks for your comment and hope you can make it over here if/when the pandemic subsides.
