Just a few common species around town now…
Dreadful day for photos in the park this morning. Quite a few interesting birds; Green Sandpiper, Eyebrowed Thrush, Common Crossbill, Oriental Cuckoo plus all the usual stuff.
This Wryneck played hide and seek with me. It won.
More birdscaping…
Some ‘birdscaping’ from yesterday…
Yesterday Narcissus Flycatcher and Eastern Crowned Warbler were around in the park just outside town, as well as Pale Thrush, Wryneck and all the usual stuff but not many photo opps. Pretty quiet compared to 2021 and 2022 in this location and at this time.
The above Olive-backed Pipit was nice to see and there are always the common species like Russet Sparrow. This is a sparrow species that stays high up in the trees…
And the very common Masked Bunting…this ringed male was in exactly the same corner of the park last year.
