Winter 2023/4 has been a little tough for various reasons and I haven’t been out of town much (well hardly at all). So thank god for crossbills; I’ll never tire of them.
These were part of a flock of 20 or 30 of them today in town.
They’re starting to come to ground in search of pinecones too…
