Thanks Stuart. This female Greater Scaup looks satisfied. I have never seen this species, but a winter visitor called Tufted Duck looks similar! The only new sighting near a river I have recently are Osprey and Northern Pintail.Reply
Yes Tufted Ducks are indeed similar. Scaup tend to be found on the sea or in ports, Tufteds are more a freshwater species.Reply
