Spring in Japan means cherry blossoms and for many birders spring in Japan means taking photos of cherry blossoms with Japanese White-eyes.

It was very windy today and there wasn’t much about. At least we are able to get out and about.

  1. Hi Stuart, where were the White-eyes? Goryokaku? We have cheery trees all along our London Street too which is a tonic especially this year in lock-down. And another sure sign of spring is the appearance of hirundines migrating north. Swallows and Martins over the weekend.
