The bridge on Route 5 over the Yurappu River in Yakumo provides some excellent BIF opportunities. Eagles gather there and regularly fly back and forth over the bridge, often at low angles and close enough to fill the frame (sometimes too close) . Yesterday the weather wasn’t even that cold so it was even pleasant waiting there and watching the other birds present. Smew, Great Egret, Whooper Swan, Long-billed Plover etc……….
