Asian Rosy Finches were everywhere on Sunday: we saw them in at least 4 different locations.
There were some more Asian Rosy Finches in the corner of another port.
Shame it was in the harsh midday sun……….
There were lots of Asian Rosy Finch on the coast near Sawara today.
I’ve already seen this species several times this winter but not for several weeks…………
Bullfinch, Redpoll and Brambling were also around.
One of my fave species……………
Still really cold: this Asian Rosy Finch was at least posing for photos east of town.
This is a male and it was all alone. Well, it had about 10 Rustic Buntings for company.
I was wading through snowdrifts to get these photos……….
There were 4 Asian Rosy Finch east of town today………..
One of my favourite winter visitors.
There was a flock of 7 Asian Rosy Finch east of town today but they flew off before I could get a decent picture.
The local Steller’s Sea Eagle has returned there…………….
Annoyingly it stayed high up on the hillside and didn’t do anything all afternoon.
Several White-tailed Eagles and 2 Mountain Hawk-Eagles were around as well.
