It saved a classic pose for the last one.

Some more typical shots…
More Snow Bunting pics
First one I’d seen for 3 or so years…
Some small birds at last
This male Pine Bunting was one of several interesting small birds at the weekend: the Snow Bunting of course but also Long-tailed Rosefinch, a flock of 7 Asian Rosy Finch and a couple of small flocks of Siberian Meadow Bunting.
Hope they have their wits about them…
More snowy posing
Nice to see it in the snow…
Some morning poses
It was snowing quite heavily the next morning but the Snow Bunting was still there…
Snow Bunting in the gloom
There was a Snow Bunting in one of the ports this weekend.
Rather dark but it did strike some nice poses…
Everywhere
A bit of a Rustic Bunting invasion: they’re all over the place out east.
Some Rustics
Quite a few Rustic Buntings around again this winter…
A grey Christmas Day
Wow it was cold today…
Although east of town doesn’t have much snow.
Back in town there were blizzards.
A shy one
The forest pool allows us to photograph normally shy species. Like the above Grey Bunting. But also this one……………..
A male Japanese Robin. I only ever see them in autumn in this place for some reason.
Another visit to the pool
We passed by the forest pool twice again this last weekend. And it was so dark……………..
The above male Grey Bunting put in an appearance at least.
This Olive-backed Pipit was not at the pool………….
