Someone very kindly lent me his 600 f11 lens when he heard about my dodgy shoulder.
It was a nice sunny day today so I took it out for a spin. It might take a bit of getting used to but it seems pretty reasonable for a walk about lens…
No exciting birds around, the injured long-staying Whooper and a few common ducks and lots of Dusky Thrush.
We were up north today checking one of the ports. The most interesting bird was a Black-throated Diver but it was too far away for a photo. There were the usual common ducks in the harbour though.
And a few gulls too.
Onuma has been a little disppointing this year. Usually several scarcer species of duck join the Whooper Swan/Mallard flock but not this winter. Yesterday there were 2 Common Goldeneye, a couple of Smew, a group of 20 or so Goosander and 3 Common Teal…….
