There were a lot of Harlequin Duck around today. On such a dark dreary day in the past I would have given up trying to photograph them but with the R5 and Topaz DeNoise they don’t look so bad.

Happy New Year Stuart! Good to see you have started the year 2023 with some great birding and excellent photos. You must be pleased with your Eagle shots ytd. Quiet here in London with lots of wet weather, with best Ally Pally birds being Firecrest (now more and more common) and a skulking Water Rail – plus pleased to have a resident (but temporary presume) Common Buzzard on the patch.
