Summer stuff is arriving all the time: Stejneger’s Stonechat, Chestnut-cheeked Starling, Common Reed Bunting etc etc. The above Red-flanked Bluetail was in Yakumo yesterday and this Little Ringed Plover was near Hakodate today.

We have Little Ring Plovers arriving now – saw one on a birding tour to Kent & Sussex recently. Bluetail is a stunning bird – Megumi managed to see some on Mount Hakodate wooded slopes last week….
Yes, lots on Mt Hakodate this time of year…
