Surely this behaviour won’t endear the Waxwings to the Cheery blossom loving Japanese! About as popular as Bullfinches?Reply
Our blossoms are almost all gone. I wouldn’t mind seeing waxwings eating them. We didn’t see any waxwings this year. Sad and dull.Reply
It wasn’t a vintage Waxwing winter up here either although I did see a few flocks. Our blossoms will open in 7 or 8 days I’d imagine. Over before Golden Week perhaps: unusual in Hakodate.Reply
The Waxwings look splendid. I suppose cherry blossom buds are an easier nibble than the4 actual flowers ?Reply

Yes they’ll be run out of town next time…….
