A small flock of Bohemian Waxwing visited the park twice yesterday but both times they didn’t linger long. The trees have been stripped.
This one below was on its own.
Is this the last one I’ll photograph from this year’s invasion?

I enjoy looking at your waxwing photos, Stu. This morning it snowed for the first time this winter in Niigata and I went for a walk in the blustering wind. I stumbled upon 12+ waxwings! The first I’ve seen since 2009. Sadly as my frozen brain processed what I was looking at, two large-billed crows attacked them and the whole group took off and disppeared. All the more reason to come back and look at your splendid pics!
Thanks Russell, some were still there this morning actually………
Looks like the Waxwings have been thorough !
Like more photogenic and cuter locusts…….
