Lovely shot Stuart, Still surprising that yesterday I was taking an almost identically posed shot of a same-species kingfisher at our local London reservoir. Except too distant to get other than a record shot and the bird was not as smart ( possibly a juvenile?)…. PS still hoping to get to Hakodate early November as the Japanese Government eases tourist restrictions…..

Can’t believe it’s been 2 1/2 years since we walked down the river in Hakodate and we were wondering how this coronavirus thing was going to play out.
